Connemara Adventure

Early in June 2015, I organised a 3 day bicycle tour of Connemara for myself and 8 friends from my local running club. Newcastle (Staffs) AC. As in previous years we hired bikes from West Ireland Cycling. Having rail sailed from Stoke-On-Trent to Galway the day before our adventure commenced. The friendly service we received from Liam and his team was fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble as they set up the bikes for each of us, 9 in total. The bicycles were excellent, nearly new and tailored to our requirements. The service we received before and after our trip made our adventure memorable. Thanks to Liam and the team for making our cycling break such a success! On the first day we cycled,Galway, Headford, Cong, Finny and finished up in Leenane where we spent the night. The second day, we cycled the Atlantic Way from Leenane via Tully Cross, Letterfrack, Inagh Valley and onto Clifden where we spent the night. The last day of our trip took us from Clifden back to Galway via the Bog Road.

Outstanding bike trip, adventure of a life time”

The crew of West Ireland Cycling did a suburb job organizing our Connemara bike trip. They handled our larger group of 4 adults and 7 children with ease, kindness, attentiveness and flexibility.
Everything was taken care of: new trek bikes, helmets, bike bags, locks, repair kits, etc. The Bed & Breakfast were excellent with good beds and wonderful breakfasts.
Having traveled all over the world, we have come to the conclusion that the friendliest people in the world live in Ireland. The Connemara landscape is lovely. The food was good, only overshadowed by the locals of all ages playing music and singing in the cosy and energetic atmosphere of the local pubs.
All in all, a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Liam and his crew of West Ireland Cycling.

The holiday of a life time

We loved it from the very first minute to the very last.
10 days in Connemara and The Burren.
Everything was perfectly planned by West Ireland Cycling: tour, accommodation ( B&B, hotel ), baggage drop, pick up time...
We met so many nice people and discovered wonderful landscapes and sceneries following the scenic route of the itinerary or taking Liam's tip to climb up Partry Mountains ( challenging but exhilarating). Thank you all at West Ireland Cycling for being so friendly, helpful, and professional . We will recommend you to everyone who wants to go on a cycling holiday in Ireland.
