Car Tours for Non-cycling Partners

Over the years, we have learned that many of our guests have friends or family that would love to come to Ireland but for one reason or another, would prefer not to use cycling as their mode of transport. We understand that cycling from village to village may not be possible for everyone, due to a variety of reasons. Consequently, we have developed a close working relationships with local, very experienced car tour guides who provide a wonderful way to experience Ireland from the comfort of a vehicle.

Car tours for non-cycling partners work in the following way:

• Guests spend the night in the same hotels as the cyclist

• Guests are collected each morning and brought on a car tour of the local area including visits to castles, historic sights, beautiful natural landscapes and craft shops

• A stop for lunch in the middle of the day followed by another short car tour ending at the next hotel for the night.

• Car tour guests will arrive at approximately the same time as the cyclists and will have visited many of the same places as the cyclists plus a few places the cyclists did not visit. This allows non-cyclists share in the experience of visiting Ireland with the cycling group and allows for wonderful evening conversations in the pubs and restaurants as everyone shares the experience of the day.

The vehicle will be a modern, comfortable high-end vehicle such as a Mercedes Minivan or equivalent with a fully accredited tour guide.
